Chaperone Policy

At College Road Surgery, Woking, we are committed to ensuring that all patients feel comfortable and respected during consultations and examinations.

Patients are entitled to request a chaperone for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one would be helpful. A chaperone is a trained member of staff who is present during the examination to provide reassurance and support for both the patient and the clinician.

If you would like a chaperone to be present during your appointment, please inform the reception team when booking your appointment or speak to the clinician at the time of your consultation. We will make every effort to provide a suitable chaperone.

If a chaperone is requested but is not immediately available, the appointment may be rearranged to ensure that a chaperone can be present.
